Prices & Overview

 The “standard” cleaning is quoted based on an average home condition. If your home requires special attention, such as a deep clean or move-in/move-out, or if the house is found to be in highly rough condition, we will need to extend our time at the appropriate hourly rate. We will inform you before any additional charges are made to the original quote provided. It would be best to prepare for your cleaning service by having your home decluttered before your team’s arrival. If the client asks our cleaning professionals to help organize and clear areas before cleaning, there will be additional charges for the extra time involved. In certain circumstances, you may be refused service and incur a $60 fee. A general rule of thumb is that our cleaning professionals should take no more than 2 minutes to declutter a room before beginning cleaning. Waiver of expertise: We are not tile, grout, carpet, stone, flooring, caulking, sealing, paint, plumbing, metal, electrical, or upholstery experts. Our professionals have been trained and certified to clean and sanitize a variety of common household surfaces. River City Maids cleaning professionals do not treat or restore damaged materials and surfaces. If you need a specialist, we are always happy to recommend one. We reserve the right to refuse your service if we encounter anything that may endanger our cleaning professionals. Including but is not limited to mold, hoarding, the abnormal build-up of soap scum, human feces, animal feces, excessive trash, rude comments, live roaches, or threatening behavior. 

 1. Standard Cancellation Fee

River City Maids LLC will give UP TO 2 grace passes for recurring clients on cancellations fewer than 24 hours before your service time. After that, you will incur a $60 fee if our cleaning professionals cannot access the property and if we cannot reach you. Cancellation of a one-time cleaning within 24 hours or fewer will result in a cancellation charge of $60. Please be sure to provide entry instructions if you will not be home. We reserve the right to charge our standard cancellation fee for any lockouts.

2. Cleaning Supplies / Equipment

 River City Maids LLC provides products and nearly all equipment required for cleaning your home. It is a requirement that the home or office has running water and working electric outlets. We reserve the right to charge our cancellation fee ($60) if running water or electricity are not provided. Our cleaning professionals are not allowed to climb ladders or be on stools of any sort. If you would prefer us to use your cleaning products or equipment, such as a vacuum or mop, please leave it out and include this request in your special account instructions. We are not responsible for ANY damage caused by cleaning products provided by the customer.

 3. Cleaning Guarantee

 Our work requires demanding specifications, and we will provide a 24-hour guarantee. You are responsible for notifying us of any problem within this time frame; a phone call or email is best. We will come back to your house for an inspection if management agrees and correct the problem as soon as our schedule permits it. We will make every effort to be reasonable in unfortunate situations. The house will not be recleaned by River City Maids if there is evidence of family members, guests, faulty/unmaintained equipment, break-ins, contractors, pets. Acts of God or any other unreasonable/unexpected factors that have resulted in the dirtying of a recently cleaned home are unfortunate and are not qualifications for River City Maids to provide a reclean. River City Maids LLC does not guarantee a total home cleaning if you book an hourly cleaning service.

 4. Confirmation

 Booking a service online DOES NOT guarantee you a spot for that date/time. Your booking is not confirmed until you have received an official confirmation email. Days and availability can be subject to change.

5. Price & Time Adjustments 

If the condition of your home is worse than expected, you will be notified by our cleaning professionals or by our management. If they do not have time to complete the cleaning in the time allotted, River City Maids have the right to refuse service or reschedule. Any cleaning that will exceed the time quoted will have the option to extend the cleaning at our hourly rate.

 6. Breakage

 Our trained cleaning professionals will exercise the proper and safe handling of items in homes. Unfortunately, accidents still occasionally occur. If this happens, you will be notified by our cleaning professional, leave a note, or give a phone call from management. River City Maids will reimburse up to $250 with a copy of your replacement receipt or a quote on a replacement for a similar item. Our insurance provider may handle reimbursement for items over $250. Items that cannot be replaced due to sentimental or antique value should be reported to River City Maids LLC BEFORE service begins. We reserve the right not to touch an item. All damages must be reported to River City Maids within 24 hours. We will contact you after we receive a notification. River City Maids LLC has the right to receive a second opinion quote for a repair. If we do not hear from you within 30 days, we will assume you do not want to have us resolve the issue, and the situation is considered settled and rendered void.

7. Theft

 The best protection is taking precautions. Please DO NOT leave out any money, prescription medications, or valuables that could be lost or taken. When we find valuables left out, we will clean around them. If a theft is suspected, our bond requires that you file a police report with your local authorities before contacting River City Maids LLC.

 8. Direct Hiring of Our Cleaning Professionals

 River City Maids LLC invests heavily in procurement to find quality cleaning professionals. Hiring OUR current or past employees or accepting side propositions from the employee makes you liable for an employment referral fee of $500.00. If you directly employ (legally or cash basis), including anyone currently or formerly employed by or contracted directly through us within the last year following your most recent service. By hiring River City Maids to provide service, you agree to notify us of any attempts to solicit or accept illegal business otherwise. River City Maids will add attorney and legal fees to any fees owed if we or any other party discovers this employment. Exchanging contact info is considered part of this breach. Unless complying with all laws, direct, unreported, or inappropriate employment practices are illegal. You acknowledge that you have been informed that River City Maids LLC is obligated to report illegal hiring activities. Any person or entity may report this to the proper Government and or governing Judicial authority to ensue an investigation. Implication, complicity, or withholding knowledge of illegal activity is prosecutable by River City Maids LLC (when applicable) and by United States Federal and Florida State Local Laws.

 9. Cleaner safety

 River City Maids LLC reserves the right to remove its cleaners from your home should the environment become unsafe; our cancellation policy will apply ($60).

10. Pets and Pet Fee

 We will gladly work around pets. If your pet becomes anxious or presents a safety concern, River City Maids LLC reserves the right to remove its cleaners from your home. If a cleaner leaves your home prior to completion, River City Maids LLC will charge you a prorated expense based on work performed. If the removal of our cleaning professional is due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply ($60).

 11. Right to Refuse service

 Cleaning professionals have the choice to leave upon arrival if the home is in extreme condition. Reasons include but are not limited to the presence of mold, mildew, insects including live roaches, pungent odor, rotting food or conditions, infestation, rodents, urine or feces (human or animal), hoarding, excessive clutter, or in a neglected state. This policy also applies to our cleaning professionals feeling unsafe/threatened due to rude or aggressive behavior towards the Cleaner. Suppose you book a cleaning online for a property that is not in reasonable condition, such as requiring cleaning up after a large party, hoarding, or extreme neglect. In that case, the cleaners may refuse service immediately at will, and you will be charged the $60 cancellation fee.

 12. Clutter and Organizing

 We require all non-decorative items to be picked up off the floor. Our rule of thumb is that the cleaners have 120 seconds to organize in each room or pile any clutter in one area and clean around it. Otherwise, the price can and will be adjusted at our hourly rate to accommodate the extra time required to organize items before cleaning can begin. If clutter is a concern, please contact management about scheduling a separate appointment for decluttering and light organizing with a cleaning professional.

 13. Dishes

 River City Maids LLC’s policy is to clean dishes if needed by request only! You must notify management. Cleaned dishes will be stored in a countertop rack or in a nearby dishwasher in a suitable condition. River City Maids has the right to refuse to do dishes or charge a fee of up to $50 if found in an excessive state.

 14. Oven

 River City Maids will need advance notice to clean the inside of your oven. River City Maids LLC will clean the inside of your oven manually. However, we will not under any circumstances run the self-cleaning cycle on your oven. If you would like the self-cleaning cycle to run, then you may run it 24 hours before your appointment to allow plenty of time to cool for us to clean it.

15. Large and Heavy items

 For safety and liability reasons, River City Maids LLC will not allow its Cleaning Professionals to lift or move heavy items or furniture weighing over 20 pounds. Please pull-out appliances and move any furniture before the cleaning appointment if it needs to be cleaned behind the object.

 16. Satisfaction Policy:

 River City Maids LLC cannot guarantee the results of mini-blind dusting, grout, chandelier, vaulted ceiling, or ceiling fan dusting. Mold remediation is a specialty. River City Maids LLC does not provide mold remediation and cannot be liable for any mold, urine, or feces-related risks in the client’s property. River City Maids LLC does not assume responsibility for restoring severely worn, stained, or mildewed caulking and grout. This includes wood floors and cabinets. If your home has been neglected, we will do our absolute best to get it clean, but we cannot restore areas that have been neglected. We do not clean carpets. If the home is old and there is build-up over many years, we can clean the home, but we cannot restore it.

 17. Keys:

We will not hold on to the client’s keys. If you would like to provide us access to enter your property, we will give a keypad lock box for use on your property for a one-time cost of $20.

 18. Inside of appliances:

 River City Maids LLC can clean the inside of a refrigerator and oven with advance notice. If the appliance’s condition exceeds a standard clean, cleaning professionals have the right to refuse or charge a fee of up to $50 if the condition is excessive. If it is a move-in/move-out, all food items need to be removed. We will not be responsible for disposing of unwanted food items.

 19. Trash Removal

 River City Maids LLC does not offer trash removal. During moving cleans, trash must be removed from the home, fridge, off the floor, and out of all spaces we will need to clean, or you may be charged a trash removal fee up to $100. If there is excessive trash, River City Maids may refuse service for any cleaning service.

 20. Blind Cleaning and Ceiling Fans

 River City Maids LLC does not hand clean blinds. Cleaning professionals will dust blinds thoroughly. Ceiling fans will be dusted with a fan duster attachment on an extension pole. We can not hand clean ceiling fans or chandlers, or light coverings. We do not hand clean blinds, only dust.

 21. Windows

 River City Maids does not clean exterior windows, open windows to clean inside the tracks or screens. Cleaning of inside windows reachable from standing position, windowsill, and lock ledge only with advance notice. River City Maids views window cleaning as a professional service that window cleaning professionals should provide.

If you’re not content with your cleaning, please respond the “How’d we do?” email. We can not guarantee how much home can be cleaned if you selected to have a budget for your cleaning hours. If you selected for us to clean until it is finished and you feel something was missed, please contact management at 904-906-6868 with in 24 hours of your service. By booking with River City Maids you agree to this policy.

Yes, they do. We run a detailed nationwide background check on all applicants as the last step in our pre-screening process.

We have three levels of security in place. First off, our booking page is protected by extended validation SSL. Secondly, our booking form has its own layer of 256-bit security. Third, credit card transactions are processed by stripe and is layered on their own 256 security protocol. In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system (only a token that allows us to charge the card). Rest assured we take security very very seriously.

If something goes wrong we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it. That’s our promise to you!

All of our folks are interviewed and pass a nationwide detailed background check. Only about 10% of the people that apply end up working as a River City Maids certified cleaner.

Yes! You will receive a few confirmation emails notifying you of your upcoming service. We ask that you please notify us by 6 pm the evening before your booking if you need to cancel. If you fail to do so, we will charge you a $60 cancelation fee. If we arrive and you decline the clean or do not answer, we will charge you the $60 cancelation fee. You can always call or text management at 904-906-6868 to cancel or reschedule.

Absolutely. Simply enter your coupon (gift card) code into the booking form as you are creating your booking. Your final price will automatically change to reflect your coupon balance. At any time you can log into your account here and see the balance on any gift cards you have. You are welcome to call or text 904-906-6868 to have management manually apply any coupons or credits.

You can apply a coupon to a future appointment by logging into your account here and clicking your name in the top right hand corner. You can then select “redeem voucher” and enter your code. The system will automatically apply the code to your next appointment. You can not apply your coupon to past appointment that are already completed.

 Our work requires demanding specifications, and we will provide a 24-hour guarantee. You are responsible for notifying us of any problem within this time frame; a phone call or email is best. We will come back to your house for an inspection if management agrees and correct the problem as soon as our schedule permits it. We will make every effort to be reasonable in unfortunate situations. The house will not be recleaned by River City Maids if there is evidence of family members, guests, faulty/unmaintained equipment, break-ins, contractors, pets. Acts of God or any other unreasonable/unexpected factors that have resulted in the dirtying of a recently cleaned home are unfortunate and are not qualifications for River City Maids to provide a reclean. River City Maids LLC does not guarantee a total home cleaning if you book an hourly cleaning service.

 Booking a service online DOES NOT guarantee you a spot for that date/time. Your booking is not confirmed until you have received an official confirmation email. Days and availability can be subject to change.

5. Price & Time Adjustments 

If the condition of your home is worse than expected, you will be notified by our cleaning professionals or by our management. If they do not have time to complete the cleaning in the time allotted, River City Maids have the right to refuse service or reschedule. Any cleaning that will exceed the time quoted will have the option to extend the cleaning at our hourly rate.

 6. Breakage

 Our trained cleaning professionals will exercise the proper and safe handling of items in homes. Unfortunately, accidents still occasionally occur. If this happens, you will be notified by our cleaning professional, leave a note, or give a phone call from management. River City Maids will reimburse up to $250 with a copy of your replacement receipt or a quote on a replacement for a similar item. Our insurance provider may handle reimbursement for items over $250. Items that cannot be replaced due to sentimental or antique value should be reported to River City Maids LLC BEFORE service begins. We reserve the right not to touch an item. All damages must be reported to River City Maids within 24 hours. We will contact you after we receive a notification. River City Maids LLC has the right to receive a second opinion quote for a repair. If we do not hear from you within 30 days, we will assume you do not want to have us resolve the issue, and the situation is considered settled and rendered void.

7. Theft

 The best protection is taking precautions. Please DO NOT leave out any money, prescription medications, or valuables that could be lost or taken. When we find valuables left out, we will clean around them. If a theft is suspected, our bond requires that you file a police report with your local authorities before contacting River City Maids LLC.

 8. Direct Hiring of Our Cleaning Professionals

 River City Maids LLC invests heavily in procurement to find quality cleaning professionals. Hiring OUR current or past employees or accepting side propositions from the employee makes you liable for an employment referral fee of $500.00. If you directly employ (legally or cash basis), including anyone currently or formerly employed by or contracted directly through us within the last year following your most recent service. By hiring River City Maids to provide service, you agree to notify us of any attempts to solicit or accept illegal business otherwise. River City Maids will add attorney and legal fees to any fees owed if we or any other party discovers this employment. Exchanging contact info is considered part of this breach. Unless complying with all laws, direct, unreported, or inappropriate employment practices are illegal. You acknowledge that you have been informed that River City Maids LLC is obligated to report illegal hiring activities. Any person or entity may report this to the proper Government and or governing Judicial authority to ensue an investigation. Implication, complicity, or withholding knowledge of illegal activity is prosecutable by River City Maids LLC (when applicable) and by United States Federal and Florida State Local Laws.

 9. Cleaner safety

 River City Maids LLC reserves the right to remove its cleaners from your home should the environment become unsafe; our cancellation policy will apply ($60).

10. Pets and Pet Fee

 We will gladly work around pets. If your pet becomes anxious or presents a safety concern, River City Maids LLC reserves the right to remove its cleaners from your home. If a cleaner leaves your home prior to completion, River City Maids LLC will charge you a prorated expense based on work performed. If the removal of our cleaning professional is due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply ($60).

 11. Right to Refuse service

 Cleaning professionals have the choice to leave upon arrival if the home is in extreme condition. Reasons include but are not limited to the presence of mold, mildew, insects including live roaches, pungent odor, rotting food or conditions, infestation, rodents, urine or feces (human or animal), hoarding, excessive clutter, or in a neglected state. This policy also applies to our cleaning professionals feeling unsafe/threatened due to rude or aggressive behavior towards the Cleaner. Suppose you book a cleaning online for a property that is not in reasonable condition, such as requiring cleaning up after a large party, hoarding, or extreme neglect. In that case, the cleaners may refuse service immediately at will, and you will be charged the $60 cancellation fee.

 12. Clutter and Organizing

 We require all non-decorative items to be picked up off the floor. Our rule of thumb is that the cleaners have 120 seconds to organize in each room or pile any clutter in one area and clean around it. Otherwise, the price can and will be adjusted at our hourly rate to accommodate the extra time required to organize items before cleaning can begin. If clutter is a concern, please contact management about scheduling a separate appointment for decluttering and light organizing with a cleaning professional.

 13. Dishes

 River City Maids LLC’s policy is to clean dishes if needed by request only! You must notify management. Cleaned dishes will be stored in a countertop rack or in a nearby dishwasher in a suitable condition. River City Maids has the right to refuse to do dishes or charge a fee of up to $50 if found in an excessive state.

 River City Maids will need advance notice to clean the inside of your oven. River City Maids LLC will clean the inside of your oven manually. However, we will not under any circumstances run the self-cleaning cycle on your oven. If you would like the self-cleaning cycle to run, then you may run it 24 hours before your appointment to allow plenty of time to cool for us to clean it.

15. Large and Heavy items

 For safety and liability reasons, River City Maids LLC will not allow its Cleaning Professionals to lift or move heavy items or furniture weighing over 20 pounds. Please pull-out appliances and move any furniture before the cleaning appointment if it needs to be cleaned behind the object.

 16. Satisfaction Policy:

 River City Maids LLC cannot guarantee the results of mini-blind dusting, grout, chandelier, vaulted ceiling, or ceiling fan dusting. Mold remediation is a specialty. River City Maids LLC does not provide mold remediation and cannot be liable for any mold, urine, or feces-related risks in the client’s property. River City Maids LLC does not assume responsibility for restoring severely worn, stained, or mildewed caulking and grout. This includes wood floors and cabinets. If your home has been neglected, we will do our absolute best to get it clean, but we cannot restore areas that have been neglected. We do not clean carpets. If the home is old and there is build-up over many years, we can clean the home, but we cannot restore it.

 17. Keys:

We will not hold on to the client’s keys. If you would like to provide us access to enter your property, we will give a keypad lock box for use on your property for a one-time cost of $20.

 18. Inside of appliances:

 River City Maids LLC can clean the inside of a refrigerator and oven with advance notice. If the appliance’s condition exceeds a standard clean, cleaning professionals have the right to refuse or charge a fee of up to $50 if the condition is excessive. If it is a move-in/move-out, all food items need to be removed. We will not be responsible for disposing of unwanted food items.

 River City Maids LLC does not offer trash removal. During moving cleans, trash must be removed from the home, fridge, off the floor, and out of all spaces we will need to clean, or you may be charged a trash removal fee up to $100. If there is excessive trash, River City Maids may refuse service for any cleaning service.

 20. Blind Cleaning and Ceiling Fans

 River City Maids LLC does not hand clean blinds. Cleaning professionals will dust blinds thoroughly. Ceiling fans will be dusted with a fan duster attachment on an extension pole. We can not hand clean ceiling fans or chandlers, or light coverings. We do not hand clean blinds, only dust.

 River City Maids does not clean exterior windows, open windows to clean inside the tracks or screens. Cleaning of inside windows reachable from standing position, windowsill, and lock ledge only with advance notice. River City Maids views window cleaning as a professional service that window cleaning professionals should provide.

Prices & Overview

 The “standard” cleaning is quoted based on an average home condition. If your home requires special attention, such as a deep clean or move-in/move-out, or if the house is found to be in highly rough condition, we will need to extend our time at the appropriate hourly rate. We will inform you before any additional charges are made to the original quote provided. It would be best to prepare for your cleaning service by having your home decluttered before your team’s arrival. If the client asks our cleaning professionals to help organize and clear areas before cleaning, there will be additional charges for the extra time involved. In certain circumstances, you may be refused service and incur a $60 fee. A general rule of thumb is that our cleaning professionals should take no more than 2 minutes to declutter a room before beginning cleaning. Waiver of expertise: We are not tile, grout, carpet, stone, flooring, caulking, sealing, paint, plumbing, metal, electrical, or upholstery experts. Our professionals have been trained and certified to clean and sanitize a variety of common household surfaces. River City Maids cleaning professionals do not treat or restore damaged materials and surfaces. If you need a specialist, we are always happy to recommend one. We reserve the right to refuse your service if we encounter anything that may endanger our cleaning professionals. Including but is not limited to mold, hoarding, the abnormal build-up of soap scum, human feces, animal feces, excessive trash, rude comments, live roaches, or threatening behavior. 

 1. Standard Cancellation Fee

River City Maids LLC will give UP TO 2 grace passes for recurring clients on cancellations fewer than 24 hours before your service time. After that, you will incur a $60 fee if our cleaning professionals cannot access the property and if we cannot reach you. Cancellation of a one-time cleaning within 24 hours or fewer will result in a cancellation charge of $60. Please be sure to provide entry instructions if you will not be home. We reserve the right to charge our standard cancellation fee for any lockouts.

2. Cleaning Supplies / Equipment

 River City Maids LLC provides products and nearly all equipment required for cleaning your home. It is a requirement that the home or office has running water and working electric outlets. We reserve the right to charge our cancellation fee ($60) if running water or electricity are not provided. Our cleaning professionals are not allowed to climb ladders or be on stools of any sort. If you would prefer us to use your cleaning products or equipment, such as a vacuum or mop, please leave it out and include this request in your special account instructions. We are not responsible for ANY damage caused by cleaning products provided by the customer.

Yes, we will do all we can to keep things consistent. We know how important it is to match the right cleaner or team with each client. If you like someone or a team, it will noted and you will be put on that cleaners schedule. If you are not happy with your specific cleaner or team, we will work to find you the best fit possible!

Never! cancel anytime. Please be aware you must cancel by 5 pm the day before your scheduled clean to avoid the $60 cancelation fee. Otherwise you can drop your recurring service anytime.

We offer weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cleaning for your house, office, or commercial space. We offer one time cleans. You can schedule as needed if you do not want to sign up for recurring.

Yes, we love to clean ovens. If you run the self clean the night before, this can greatly cut back on the time needed to clean and in return save you money. Just make the team or manager aware ahead of time. The add on cost is $25

Rive City Maids will provide a checklist for moving cleans and for total home cleanings only. For hourly packages management will ask for a priority list from the client since we can not guarantee how much work can get done with an hourly package.  If you prefer a checklist can be followed for a recurring or the client can provide a priority list each visit.

Yes, we can help you organize your home, office, or for a move. Packing and unpacking, holiday organizing, and decluttering can easily be done. We do not have organizing training, only life experience with these services.

Yes we do move out or move in cleans. They are charged hourly. You can set a firm budget and we will do the best we can to complete your priority list OR you can ask to have us clean until complete. The amount of hours needed VARY vastly. Anywhere from 4-10 hours with multiple cleaners.

Yes we can do your laundry! We can do laundry in your home. Wash, dry, and fold. We can even put it away if you like. The time for this may vary based on how much laundry you need done, how fast your washer and dryer take, and by how many hours you’ve chosen for your clean. If the laundry is wash and dried, we can easily put it way. Just add it to your priority cleaning list.

No! We clean offices, commercial property, construction cleans, and after events. We like to say, there is no job too big…. or too small for us!

We only charge hourly! You select how many cleaning professionals and how many hours you’d like them to clean. The rate only increases if you approve more hours. Some homes can be cleaned faster than others. Please keep in mind the size of your home and how frequently its recently been cleaned when selecting hours.

We provide services for all of Duval, Clay, and St. Johns County.
